(Mrs. Richard) Sharon "Shari" Driscoll, age 65, of Watertown, SD, passed away on Thursday, October 23, 2008 in her home. Funeral services were held on Wednesday, October 29, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Martin's Lutheran Church with Rev. John Carter officiating. Interment in the Hazel Cemetery, Hazel, SD.

Honorary Pallbearers were all of Shari's many friends and relatives.

Active Pallbearers were Gary Schickedanz, Bruce Schickedanz, Craig Matteson, Gerald Ness, Jack Case and Hilmer Moen.

Sharon R. Driscoll was born on September 16, 1943 to Harold A. and Alma E. (Lohmiller) Engwell in Hazel, South Dakota. She grew up in Hazel where she attended Hazel High School. In April of 1960 she married Warren Acker.

She married Richard "Dick" Driscoll in September of 1979. They moved to Denver, Colorado in 1980. Dick and Shari returned to Watertown to be near her father after the passing of her mother in 1992. Shari spent many years as a waitress both in Colorado and South Dakota. She was employed at the Watertown Health Food Center for 10 years before retiring in June of 2008. Shari was a member of St. Martin's Lutheran Church. She was an avid reader, and thoroughly enjoyed vegetable/flower gardening, and spending time with all her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her son, Sean Justin Driscoll.

Shari is survived by her husband, Dick of Watertown; her son, Navy Master Chief Petty Officer, Timothy Acker and his wife, Susan of Gansevoort, NY; her daughter, Shelly Day of Ponderay, ID; her stepson, Air Force Msgt. Michael Driscoll and his wife, Jackie of Sioux Falls; 14 grandchildren; her brother, Navy Commander Darrel Engwell and his wife, Helen of Albuquerque, NM; and one niece and one nephew.
