Obituary: Mrs. Christena Glantz, nee Yost, was born at Norka, Russia, January 22, 1865, and died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Herman Miller, on the 25th day of August, 1946, at 3:20 A.M. aged 81 years, 7 months and 3 days.

She was the daughter of devout Christian parents and at the age of fifteen she confessed her faith, surrendered to her Lord and Master and was confirmed in the Reformed Church of Norka, Russia.

On the 28th day of January, 1886, Christena Yost was united in marriage to Henry Glantz. This union was blessed with 6 children, five sons and one daughter. One son died in infancy.

Mr. and Mrs. Henry Glantz and family landed in America on the 8th day of March, 1900. Their first home in the States was at Grand Island, Nebr. After two years they moved to a farm southwest of Harvard. They farmed for about 17 years, then moved to their home in Harvard where they lived for the last 29 years.

Failing health made it necessary for Mrs. Glantz to move to the home of her daughter, Mrs. Herman Miller, but in spite of loving care of her devoted daughter she was called from time to eternity.

Mr. and Mrs. Glantz celebrated their golden wedding anniversary in 1926.

"Mother Glantz" was a faithful attendant at the services of the church and loved to read the Holy Scripture. With her going a true loving soul has ???.

Her death is mourned by her husband, Mr. Henry Glantz; four sons, Henry of Inland, Conrad of Hastings, Mike of Harvard, John of Omaha; and one daughter, Mrs. Herman Miller of Harvard; fifteen grandchildren and one great grandchild; four sisters, Mrs. George Herzog of Sutton, Mrs. Henry Schmer of Harvard, Mrs. John Weltzel of Hastings, Mrs. Conrad Feuerstein of Grand Island and many other relatives and friends.
