Babbs Shoemaker, 79, passed away on March 24, 2012. Born in Houston, Texas on June 29, 1932.
Babbs is survived by her loving niece Marianne Bruvel, who cared for her with love and devotion until her final day, brother James Bayer, sister Teddi Marks and husband Milo Marks, sister, Suzanne Hogue. Nephew Jack Younger and wife Maria, Great nephew, Wade Younger and Great niece Cristina Ann Stacy and husband Adam, Great nephew Von Marks Harrington, Great niece Skyla Jonte and Niece Alanda Fewins. Babbs enjoyed a life full of friends and relatives.
In her early years as wife to famed jockey William Shoemaker she participated in many charity events benefiting several local charities in the California area. Her passion for cooking and entertaining will be missed by all who came to enjoy her generosity as a hostess and loving friend. A private celebration of her life will take place at a later date.
