Former County Registration Clerk Dies
Miss Cora Vincent, 81, 751 Chestnut street, who served as registration clerk of Porter Circuit court for a number of years, died Sunday evening in Porter Memorial hospital after an extended illness.
Miss Vincent had also been employed as a dental assistant for a number of years by the late Dr. Marx Ruge.
A lifelong resident of this area, Miss Vincent was born in Ainsworth July 14, 1883, the daughter of James and Abbie (Potter) Vincent.
Surviving are one sister, Miss Ella Vincent, of Valparaiso, and several cousins.
At the request of the deceased, private funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, with the Rev. Darrell Parker, First Presbyterian church, officiating. Burial will be in Graceland cemetery.
Also at Miss Vincent's request, memorials may be made to the Presbyterian church or Porter Memorial hospital.
Bartholomew Funeral home is in charge of arrangements. There will be no calling hours.
