Lonnie L. Gonce, 60 of 126 1/2 South Malcolm Ave., Ontario, Calif.., died Sunday, June 9, at his home. A retired construction worker, Mr. Gonce was a native of the Highlandville community (of Christian County Missouri). He was a well-known semi-pro baseball player in this area before moving to California 30 years ago. Survivors include two sons, Ray of Upland, Calif. and Everett E. of Sylmar, Calif.; two sisters, Mrs. Austin Abernathy of Hemet, Calif., and Mrs. R. E. Melton of Ontario; one brother, Roy Gonce of West Covina, Calif. and two grandchildren. Services were at 2 p.m. Friday, June 14 at Stone Funeral Home, Ontario, and entombment was in Bellevue Mausoleum there.
