Victor H. "Corky" Tuttle IV died suddenly Monday, Jan. 9, 2012, at home in Templeton. Corky was born at West Valley Hospital in Encino, Calif., in September 1956 to Victor H. Tuttle III and Jo Ann "Jody" Damron Tuttle. In 1963, the family moved from Woodland Hills to Thousand Oaks, where Corky grew up active in sports, Scouts, swimming and other youth activities. After attending Thousand Oaks High School, Corky worked as a muffler technician. Corky''s passions since his youth (to name a few) were motorcycles and motorcycle racing, autos, speed boats and boat racing! The Tuttle''s moved to Paso Robles in 1984, where Corky and his dad opened "Mom''s Muffler Works" in the Big Oak Auto Center, where he made many life-long friends with people in the community. He was a loyal, kind, fun-loving, curious and out-going guy with a "Heart of Gold" who will be sorely missed. Corky is survived by his mother, Jody Tuttle; younger brother, Kregg Tuttle; nephew, Brandon Tuttle; niece and nephew Alesha and Damien Burke; sister-in-law, Nadine Gentry; brothers-in-law Matthew Burke and Jeffry Makowski; companion, Kathryn Palmer and daughter, Carrie Ball. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Victor and Florine Tuttle, Jr.; father, Victor H. Tuttle III; brother, Brent David Tuttle; and sister, Andrea Dawn Tuttle Makowski. A celebration of life will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 21, 2012, at Kuehl-Nicolay Funeral Home Chapel, 1703 Spring St. in Paso Robles. Kuehl-Nicolay 238-4383 Paso Robles
