In August, 1907, she entered the Convent of the Sisters of Saint Agnes. In August 1910, she made her profession. Sister was a teacher in Waunakee, and Oshkosh, WI.; Elis, Hays and Munjor, Kansas; New York City, N.Y.; and Elhurst, Illinois. She earned her B.S. in Home Economics from the State College at Hays, Kansas. In addition, she also attended the Pius X School for Liturgical Music in New York City.

Sister M. Georgine (Rose) Sander, 92, died on Thursday, Oct. 20, 1983 at Nazareth Heights, home for retired sisters of St. Agnes, Fond du Lac, Wisconsin.

She was born Jan. 11, 1891 at Victoria to Andreas and Katherine (Knoll) Sander, entered at St. Agnes Convent on Aug. 28, 1907, took final vows on Aug. 15, 1910, celebrated her silver jubilee in 1935, and her golden jubilee in 1960.

In her almost 74 years of religious profession she taught in schools at Colby, Ellis, Hays and Munjor, as well as New York, Illinois and Wisconsin.

Preceding her in death besides her parents are eight brothers and four sisters; Alois, Andrew, Johnny, Anton, Joseph, Peter, Ben, Leo, Katherine (Joseph) Appelhans, Magdalen (Andrew) Billinger, Barbara (Alex) Rupp, and Christina Sander.

One brother, Frank C., Victoria, and a large number of nieces and nephews survive.

Funeral services were held at Nazareth Heights on Saturday, Oct. 22nd.
