A service of Christian burial will be held at 2:00 PM at Hulett-Winstead Purvis Chapel for Mr. Carl F. Niemeyer, 85, of Hattiesburg (formerly of Purvis).
He died Monday, April 9, 2012 at the MS State Veteran's Home in Collins.
Interment will be in Pleasant Home Cemetery with Military Honors.
Mr. Niemeyer was employed by Big K Oil Company for 26 years and a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church. He was a U.S. Army veteran of WW II and Korean War.
He was preceded in death by a son, Stan Niemeyer and his parents, Bill & Anna Hagen Niemeyer.
He is survived by his wife, Joan Saucier Niemeyer of Hattiesburg; two sons, David (Wendy) Niemeyer of Richmond, VA and Matt (Stacey) Niemeyer of Hattiesburg; a daughter, VIcky Debrow of Purvis; a sister, Mary Rose Whitam of Natchez; six grandchildren, Chris Odom, Cory Niemeyer, Sara Niemeyer, Katie Niemeyer, and Karlee Niemeyer; three great-grandchildren, Tanner Odom, Tucker Odom, and Gabby Niemeyerl
Memorials may be made to Lamar County Christian Schools in Purvis.
Visitation will be 5:00-9:00 PM Wednesday at Hulett-Winstead Purvis Chapel.
