John F. Pipher, 49, of Union Center, died Sunday, February 24, 2008, at Wilson Memorial Hospital, Johnson City. He was predeceased by his father, Eugene; and brother, William. He is survived by his mother, Minnie Pipher, Union Center; brother and sister-in-law, David and Rosa Pipher; sister, Nancy Gwyn; brother, Robert Pipher, all of Endicott; sister, Shirley Hill, Elmira; and a brother, Paul Pipher, Florida; a sister-in-law, Deana Pipher, Florida; also several nieces and nephews. John was an employee of SUNY Binghamton and the Johnson City McDonald's Restaurant. He owned and operated Piphers Subs and Pizza for 20 years.
The funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m., Thursday at the Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home, 300 E. Main St., Endicott. The Rev. R. Brown Naik, Union Center United Methodist Church and The Rev. Douglas Hill, Pastor of the Union Center Christian Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Vestal Hills Memorial Park. The family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday at the funeral home.
