William Howard Pipher, 52, of Endicott, went to play a perpetual round in that heavenly golf course, Tuesday, November 6, 2001. He is the son of Eugene and Minnie Pipher, Endicott. He is survived by his wife, Deanna (Cook) Pipher, Endicott; one daughter and son-in-law, Annette and Todd Hoover, Greene; three sons and daughters-in-law, Billy Pipher and his beloved Amy Fitch, Endicott, David and Sherry Shamp, McDonough, N.Y., Lee and Lisa Shamp, Cape Coral, Fla.; his grandchildren, Chrystian Jacob, Cody, Kaelyn, Jesse and Logan; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Shirley Hill, Endwell, Nancy and Steve Gwyn, Endicott; four brothers and sisters-in-law, David and Rosa, Robert and Carol and John Pipher, all of Endicott, and Paul Pipher, Kissimmee, Fla.; his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Robert and Mary Ellen Cook, Jacksonville, Fla., Wayne and Cindy Cook, Apalachin, Maj. Gregory and Cathy Cook, stationed in Heidelberg, Germany; also several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was a member of Our Lady of Angels Church, Endwell, an IBM Corp employee with 28 years of service, a member of its Quarter Century Club, and a veteran of the Vietnam War serving in the US Air Force. He was a seasoned member of the Heritage Country Club , and attended Broome Community College. Memorial services will be held Saturday 10 a.m. from Our Lady of Angels Church, Stonefield Dr., Endwell. Burial will be in Vestal Hills Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Allen Memorial Home, 511-513 E. Main St., Endicott, Friday afternoon from 3 to 6 p.m. Expressions of sympathy in his memory may be made to the American Cancer Society in the field of breast cancer research, 57 Front St., Binghamton, N.Y. 13905.
