Visitation for William D. McDonald Jr. will be from 9 a.m. until the time of the funeral Mass at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 4, at Our Lady Mother of the Church, 8747 W. Lawrence Ave., Chicago. Interment will be in All Saints Cemetery. Mr. McDonald was a Navy veteran of World War II. He was a longtime member of the 100 Club of Chicago and the American Legion People's Energy Post; vice president of St. Vincent DePaul Society of Our Lady Mother of the Church; a People's Gas executive for 35 years; and a longtime parishioner of Our Lady Mother of the Church. William was the loving husband of the late Theresa C. (nee Podlasek); beloved son of the late Gertrude L. (nee Gerharz) and the late William D. McDonald Sr.; dear brother of Marion (Thomas) Weber, the late Michael (the late Barbara) McDonald, the late James (the late Isabel) McDonald and the late Patricia Johnson; and Uncle Bill to all.
