An Archbold area resident for 34 years, he was formerly a truck driver for Mohawk Motors of Bryan and the Archbold Truck Line, and from 1980 until his retirement Oct. 26, 1986, was a truck driver for the Bryan Truck Line. Mr. Arnold was a veteran of World War II, having served in the U.S. Army, and was a member of American Legion BLW Post #311 of Archbold and St. James Lutheran Church at Burlington.
On March 14, 1953, he was married,and she survives. Also surviving are three daughters; six grandchildren; his mother, his stepmother, and three sisters.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at St. James Lutheran Church, Burlington, with H. Albert Mann, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Archbold Cemetery, where the American Legion will conduct military rites.Friends may call at the Short Funeral Home, Archbold. The family requests that memorials be made to the church, the Fulton County unit of the American Cancer Society or the Northwest Ohio Visiting Nurses Association.
