Obituary: "Henry Antone Voelker, 99, passed away at home Monday, June 6, 2011, in Lincoln. He was born February 15, 1912, in St. George, Kansas at the Voelker Family stone house. Son of Joseph Antone and Bridget (Helget) Voelker. Henry had unwavering faith, a steadfast love of God, and a great commitment to Sacred Heart Church, and Pius X High School. Henry loved growing up in the country, getting into mischief with his brother, and he talked about it often. Henry's mom passed in 1919. The family all pitched in and helped with the farm, and raising the children. His first car was a 1928 model A roadster. His sense of humor was unbelievable. Henry was a railroad man, beginning as a fireman for UP-KS in 1942, then as a Refrigerator car inspector with Burlington Northern until his retirement in 1977. Active in the Railroad Clerks Labor Union, Holy Name Society, and Beautify Lincoln Gardens Project. He ran a saw sharpening business from his house until the age of 90 and said "that's it, I'm retired". He told us he slowed down, however he didn't. Always willing to help. Henry loved life!

Visitation will be held Thursday, June 9, 2011, from 4:00-5:30 p.m. with Rosary at 5:30 p.m. All at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

Mass of Christian Burial: 10:30 a.m. Friday, June 10, 2011, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
