John Henry Schroeder, age 79, of star route, Westphalia, passed away
Monday, March 17, 1975 at Memorial Community Hospital in Jefferson City.
Mr. Schroeder was born February 7, 1896 in Cole County near Osage Bend, the
son of Henry and Henrietta Auftengarten Schroeder. He moved, along with his
family, to Osage County in 1901 where he spent the rest of his life. Mr.
Schroeder was a farmer and a member of St. John's Lutheran Church.
Surviving are: one brother, Henry F. Schroeder of the home; and several
cousins and other relatives.
Funeral services were held Thursday, March 20 at St. John's Lutheran
Church with Rev. Richard Herbel officiating. Interment was in St. John's
Lutheran Cemetery under the direction of the Stevinson Funeral Home of Meta.
Pall bearers were Otto Schroeder, Ed Schroeder, Roy Schroeder, Leonard
Schroeder, August Schroeder and Vincent Schroeder."
