Visitation for Clifford "Cliff" C. Hunte Jr., 67, of Kankakee, will be from 10 a.m. Wednesday until the noon funeral services at the Cotter Funeral Home in Momence.
Burial will be in the Sherburnville Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or to Hospice of Kankakee Valley. He died Friday (April 20, 2012) at his residence.
Mr. Hunte was a retired laborer. He was born Nov. 29, 1944, in Kankakee, the son of Clifford and Elizabeth Clifton Hunte. His first wife, the former Cheryl L. Breitbarth, whom he married Oct. 30, 1969, in Kankakee, preceded him in death July 1, 1979. He later married the former Sandra Breitbarth.
Surviving are his wife, the former Candace Norton, of Kankakee, whom he married Oct. 14, 2000, in Kankakee; one son and daughter-in-law, Clifford III and Melissa Hunte, of Forsyth; three stepdaughters and one stepson-in-law, Angela and Jorge Guzman, of Kankakee, and Anita Emery and Elsa Gaytan, both of Carmi; one stepson and stepdaughter-in-law, Antonio and Jenifer Emery, of Bourbonnais; nine grandchildren; two brothers and one sister-in-law, Bruce and Sandy Hunte, of Momence, and Philip Hunte, of Manteno; and three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Patricia and Lawrence Wolford, of Momence, Katherine Covington-Foster, of St. Croix Island, and Kimberly and Gregory Borggren, of Kankakee.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
