The Sunday Oklahoman, March 14, 1999:
Laura Mae Felts, 72, passed away on Thursday, March 11, 1999. Born Laura Mae Terry in Drumright, Oklahoma on October 2, 1926, one of four sisters, Laura married George Noel Felts on September 3, 1948 after graduating from nursing school at Wesley Hospital. Mrs. Felts worked for many years as a Registered Nurse, serving in several Oklahoma City hospitals.

Laura is survived by her husband, George N. Felts of Oklahoma City, and by her two sons and their wives, G. Terry and Deborah Felts of Edmond,and Paul M. and Donna Felts of Austin, Texas. She is also survived by grandchildren Jason, Amy, Sarah, Addie and Austin, and by her three sisters, Jean Bado of Edmond, Betty Nesselrode of Bartlesville and Virginia Backry of Oklahoma City, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Laura loved the Lord and was a devoted member of Metropolitan Baptist Church in Oklahoma City, where she leaves many dear friends and colleagues in Christ. Funeral services will be held Monday, March 15, 1999 at 10:00 a.m. at Metropolitan Baptist Church, 7201 W. Britton Road, Oklahoma City. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park, 6006 NW Grand Blvd, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma under the direction of the Watts Funeral Home, Madill, Oklahoma. Viewing will be at Hahn-Cook/Street & Draper, 60th & N. Western.
