Alfred H. Killam, 71, of Fremont NH, died on October 27, 2007, at the Exeter Hospital. He was born on May 15, 1936, in Boxford MA, the son of the late Dwight L. Killam, Sr., and Dorothy D. (Perley) Killam. A longtime resident of Kingston NH, he resided in Fremont for the last 4 years.

He graduated from Sanborn Seminary in Kingston in 1953 and from the New Hampshire Technical Institute in Manchester NH in 1955. He was employed as an engineer for 41 years at Lucient Technology in Andover MA before retiring in 1996.

Al was past president of the Kingston Fire Department and was a member of the New England Sled Dog Club and the Southern New Hampshire Trailblazers snowmobile club. He was also on the advisory board for the Rockingham Recreational Trail club. An avid golfer, Al also enjoyed offshore boating and many other outdoor activities. He was also a skilled craftsman and woodworker specializing in creating and repairing furniture.

He is survived by his wife whom he married on July 14, 1956, Carole L. (Evans) Killam of Fremont NH; daughters Lisa and husband Mark Berube of Exeter NH, and Lynn and husband Kurt Baitz of Kingston NH; grandsons Jared, Tyler, and Evan Baitz of Kingston; brothers Chester Killam of West Newbury MA and Herbert Killam of Boscawen NH; and several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his brother Dwight Killam, Jr.
