Funeral services for Bernard Don Parker, 43, of Council Bluffs, formerly of Grant, were held Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at the Woodring Funeral Chapel in Council Bluffs. Burial was in the Mount Hope Cemetery at Nyman.
He was born February 21, 1923 at Orient, Iowa, the son of Ernest and Cleo Kimpson Parker and died on March 9, 1966 at the Methodist Hospital in Omaha, Nebraska. He was married to Marvis Lindell. He served in World War II.
Survivors include his wife, a daughter, Barbara, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Parker of Grant, a sister, Mrs. Don Miller of Rapid City, South Dakota, and two brothers, Gerald Parker of Miami Springs, Florida and Eugene Parker of near Elliott.
