Ernst Roehl Is Called To Rest At Sheboygan Falls

Sheboygan Falls -- Ernst Roehl, 69, passed away on Saturday evening at Madison following a lingering illness. Prior to his illness he had made his home with his son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Larsen, 828 Buffalo street, Sheboygan Falls.

The deceased was born on Feb. 23, 1876, in Stettin, Germany, the son of Mr. and Mrs. William Roehl. He came to this country at the age of seven and lived in Sandusky, Mich., for many years. He later came to Sheboygan Falls to make his home.

On Oct. 18, 1899, he was married to Miss Mina Wachter at St. Paul's Lutheran church by the late Rev. George Wildermuth. She died in 1938. Mr. Roehl was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran church and at one time served as the church organist.

Survivors are three sons and two daughters: Arno Roehl of Sheboygan, Karl and Arthur of Sheboygan Falls, Mrs. John (Anita) Luther of Milwaukee, and Mrs. Harry (Lauretta) Larsen of Sheboygan Falls. Seven grandchildren survive with two brothers and two sisters. The latter are Karl Roehl of Lansing, Mich.; Willam Roehl, Manitowoc; Mrs. Elizabeth Traxler, Lansing, Mich., and Mrs. Anna Killinger, Edgerton, Ohio.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday at the Dean Funeral home in Sheboygan Falls and at 2 o'clock at St. Paul's Lutheran church with the Rev. Edward W. Albertin officiating. Burial will be made in the Sheboygan Falls cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home until the time of services. The casket will not be opened at the church.
