John Alexander Adam, 63, of Greenville died Wednesday, May 12, 2004, at Greenville Health and Rehab Center. Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM Saturday, May 15th at Coker-Mathews Chapel with Rev. Johnny Hailes officiating. Burial will be in Memoryland Memorial Park.

Son of Alexander Smith Adam and Florence Jane Davis Adam, he was born September 15, 1940, in Vista, New York. On September 15, 1980 he and his wife Connie were married in Greenville. Mr. Adam was a veteran, serving in the U. S. Army. He was a mechanic retiring from the City of Greenville and was a member of Park Street Baptist Church.

Surviving are his wife of Greenville; a son, Gary Collins of North Richland Hills; daughters Amy Dewberry of Greenville, Lois Diggs of Lone Oak, Sandra Collins of Greenville, Jane Reisor of Greenville and Susan Gray of Greenville; four sisters, Jane Parsons of Florida, Betty Flugmacher of Montana, Mary Morris of New York and Nancy Pierce of Massachusetts; nine grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be John Duncan, Steve Duncan, James Rhodes, Ted Flugmacher, Keith Putman and Timmy Lambe. Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
