S. Wayne Hillyer, 88, died at 8:04 a.m. EDT Friday, May 4, 2012, at St. Joseph Hospital in Kokomo, Indiana.
He was born Feb. 16, 1924 in Williamsport, Indiana, to Kenneth and Fairy Brown Hillyer. He married Norma D. Clawson on January 1, 1945 in Williamsport, Indiana. She preceded him in death on January 16, 1983. He married Clara Lee Clark in Catlin, Illinois on April 24, 1984. She survives.
Also surviving are a daughter, Andrea Kay Hammersley (husband: Richard), a son, Randall Wayne Hillyer (wife: Cathy), a stepson, Jim Lee (wife: Sherry), two sisters, Rosemary Thomas and Carla Bever ,four grandchildren, Tony Hillyer,Jason Hammersley, Brad Hammersley and Richie Lee, eight great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandson.
