NAMPA — Orie Lee "Dick" Aman, 73, of Route 1, Nyssa, died Wednesday morning at a Pendleton, Ore., hospital after on extended Illness.
Mr. Aman was born Sept. 22, 1900, in Cambridge, Neb., and moved with his parents to Filer, where he was graduated from high school. He was graduated from Albion Normal School, and taught school at St. John's, Wash., for a year. He then attended the University of Idaho. He married Edith Vahl July 6, 1935, in Boise. He sold insurance for many years, including 27 years for the Idaho Mutual Benefit Association. He later worked for Old West Life Insurance Co. The couple lived in Nampa for a number of years.
He was a member of the Burns, Ore., Church of the Nazarene.
Surviving in addition to Mrs. Aman are two sons, Wesley Aman of Eugene, Ore., and Russell Aman of Nyssa; a daughter, Mrs. Rosemary Martin of Nyssa; a brother, Leslie Aman of Spokane; a sister, Mrs. Opal Zobanaky of Whittier, Calif.; and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sisters.
