She was born on Aug. 11,1938, in Mt. Solon, a daughter of the late Roy, Sr., and Willie Ann (Frymer) Huffer. He was born on Dec. 5, 1944 in Augusta County, a son of the late Dubert and Eileen (Brown) Hewitt.
Mrs. Hewitt was a homemaker, and Mr. Hewitt was a handyman.
She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Gary and Carrie Lotts of Brands Flat and James Scott Ray and Laurie Hewitt of Verona; two daughters, Kathy Huffer of Mint Spring and Sherry Nance of Staunton; nine grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Elizabeth Ann Huffer and Ruby Pearl Hulvey, and a brother, Roy E. Huffer, Jr.
He is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, James Scott Ray and Laurie Hewitt of Verona; a step-son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Carrie Lotts of Brands Flat; two step-daughters, Kathy Huffer of Mint Spring and Sherry Nance of Staunton; a brother, Richard B. Hewitt of Lyndhurst; three sisters, Violet Bryan of Sherando, Betty Marino of Brands Flat, and Wanda Almond of Stuarts Draft; nine grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Bob and Roy Lee Hewitt.
A funeral service will be conducted at 10 a.m. in the Henry Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. William Strickler. Burial will follow in Springhill Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
Her active pallbearers will be Timmy Strouble, Zane Armentrout, James Devore, Pough Corbin, R. T. Roler, and Darby Helmick.
His active pallbearers will be David Crummett, Dean Corbin, Billy Bradley, Ray McCray, Ricky Hewitt, and George Liptrap.
