​Word was received here early this week, of the death Sunday of Peter Fox, longtime resident of this area, at Muscatine, Ia. He was 82
​He was born September 15, 1869 at Cincinnati, Oh., and came to the Greenbush vicinity with is parents when only one year old. He was married to Catherine Brogan at St. Francis church, Nov. 17, 1896.
​The family moved to Parsons in 1905 where Mr. Fox worked as a carpenter for the Katy and was foreman of the bridge department for a time. The family returned to St. Paul in March, 1910 and Mrs. Fox died Dec. 14, of that year.
​For the last few years he had made his home with his son, Matthew.
​Other survivors include two other sons, Richard of Chicago and Harold, of Lawrence; two brothers, Joe of Greenbush and Jim of Girard and two sisters, Sister Carmillus and Sister Elizabeth, both of Mercy hospital, Fort Scott.
​The body was returned to Greenbush where services were held at 9 a.m. Thursday at St. Aloysius church and burial was in Greenbush cemetery.
​The Carson Funeral home was in charge.
