Gus & Clara had 4 children who died in infancy or young, Emil who was born in 1873 & died in 1877 in Germany. The Werner 'family bible' indicates Clara was born in Ft Wayne, IN and was between siblings Al & Hattie. The other two were twin daughters who were born & died in Kansas City, MO. One was named Clara, but no name has been found for the second twin.

After Gus' death, Clara married Bernhard Roeper on January 21, 1895 in Kansas City, Jackson County, MO. He passed away on June 23, 1903 according to her will. His daughter Maria is #182593035.

Have found variations of Clara's maiden name. Either Meier or Myers, Meier in Germany and the latter being used more in the US. Have records showing her name as Auguste in her early days in the U.S and in Germany it was Auguste Klara.
