Nada C. Herrold, Sept. 29, 1935-Aug. 26, 2006, Nada C. HERROLD, 70, (Grass Creek) Kewanna, passed away at 6:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Vincent Hospital, Indianapolis. Born Sept. 29, 1935, in Pulaski County, she was the daughter of Victor M. and Ethel M. Cunningham Willy. On May 14, 1954, at the Grass Creek EUB Church, she married John C. Herrold, who survives. Nada worked at and managed restaurants in Kewanna, Grass Creek and Logansport. She worked as a clerk at the Grass Creek Post Office and managed the Fulton County License Branch. She had also worked as secretary at Guy Urbin Auto in Kewanna. She was a member of the Grass Creek United Methodist Church. A past member of the Wayne Township Friendly Extension Homemakers, she was a member of the Fulton County Republican Women's Club and Rochester Eastern Star and a former member of the Kewanna Order of Eastern Star, in which she was a past deputy. She enjoyed watching NASCAR and college and high school football, basketball and baseball. Survivors include two sons, Mick and wife Becky Herrold, Twelve Mile, and Mark Herrold, Kewanna; two daughters, Mindy and husband Jeff Douglass, Kewanna, and Michelle and husband Dan Rigney, Kewanna; nine grandchildren and two step-grandchildren, Joshua Douglass, Justin Herrold, Kristen Douglass, Amanda Moon, Ashley Rigney, Stacy Herrold, Brandon Herrold, Lindsay Herrold, Wesley Rigney, Haley Rigney and Riley Rigney; two great-grandchildren, Makayla Moon and Alexsa Herrold; two brothers, Bud and wife Mary Lou Willy, Logansport, and Gene and wife Gabrella Willy, Oregon; two sisters, Helen and husband Bob Wilson and Doris and husband Don Wise, all of Logansport; and several nieces and nephews. Her funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Grass Creek United Methodist Church with Pastor Jan Moyer officiating. Visitation will be after 4 p.m. Wednesday at Harrison-Metzger Funeral Home, Kewanna, and one hour before the service Thursday at the church. Burial will be at Grass Creek Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Kidney Foundation and Grass Creek United Methodist Church.
