Caleb James Moren, 25, of Hoyt Lakes went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Saturday, Dec. 20, 2008. He died at his residence following complications from muscular dystrophy.

He was born Oct. 27, 1983 in Duluth to John and Sharon (Pommerening) Moren. Caleb was a 2003 graduate of Mesabi East High School and later worked at the East Range DAC. There, he operated a drill press, power vacuum cleaner, was a paper shredder, sander and quality control operator. Carol, Brian and Betty were very special to him at work. He will be deeply missed by his co-workers and staff at DAC.

Caleb loved all sports, especially UMD Bulldogs hockey. He was a member of the Iron Range Bible Church in Eveleth, where he attended Bible study faithfully.

Survivors include his parents, John Moren and Sharon Moren; siblings, Chad (Debbie) Moren, Carrie (Chris Flaten) Kehoe and Cherrie Moren; maternal grandmother, Leona Rinkenberger; nephews and nieces.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Mary and Victor Moren; maternal grandfathers, Thomas Pommerening and Clarence Rinkenberger; and a brother, Christopher J., in 1994.

Burial will be in the Hoyt Lakes Memorial Cemetery.
