Max N. Eberle, 83, of Neosho, died Sunday, May 20, 2012, at the Missouri Veteran's Home, in Mexico, MO, following a lengthy battle with Parkinson's disease.

He was born May 2, 1929, in Anderson, MO, to Harry and Nan (Mason) Eberle.

Mr. Eberle had lived in the southwest Missouri area most of his life and had owned and operated Max Eberle Construction for many years. He had also worked for Red Carpet Enterprises and Rocketdyne. He had served two terms in the U.S. Navy, where he was a prize boxer. He was active in Habitat for Humanity and had received the Book of Golden Deeds award from the Neosho Exchange Club. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and of St. Canera Catholic Church.

Max and Rose Marie Denoncourt were married September 14, 1952. She preceded him in death March 7, 1995.

He is survived by four sons, Jim Eberle, Davenport, IA, Stephen (Lisa) Eberle, Rogers, AR, Robert Eberle, Neosho, and Roger (Sherry) Eberle, Neosho; two daughters, Diane (Richard) Stoops, Neosho, and Susan Eberle and companion, Jeff Chase, Neosho; seven grandchildren, Joel Eberle, Michelle Elrod, Brodey Eberle, Ashley Bradley, Crystal DeGraw, Mason Eberle and Abby Eberle; five great-grandchildren; a sister, Ruth Koca, El Dorado Springs, MO, and Don Eberle, Freeman, MO.
