Mrs. Lisher died early Tuesday morning, June 14, 2011, at the Good Samaritan Village in Moscow where she had resided since May.
Born Nov. 14, 1919, at Latah, to Fredrick and Marie Hirschel Janson, she attended school at Tekoa and married ClarenceLisher Oct. 9, 1937, Coeur d'Alene. They made their home at Lawrence, Kansas, for a year and then returned to Latah. They moved to Tensed and then in 1942 to a farm in the Rock Creek area near Potlatch. They retired in 1974 and moved to Plummer in 1985. Mr. Lisher died in 2003.
Mrs. Lisher moved to Kendrick, Idaho, to live with her son in July of 2006. She enjoyed quilting, cooking, baking pies, making lawn ornaments, picking huckleberries, gardening and hosting birthday parties for her grandchildren. Survivors include one son Dale (Fran) Lisher, Kendrick; one daughter, Beverly Jones, Deary, Idaho; one brother, Kenneth Janson, Spokane Valley, 11 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and 8 great-great-grandchildren. Memorials are suggested to the Gritman Adult Care Center, 225 E. Palouse River Drive, Moscow, 83843.
