Floyd (Bill) Hatfield, 53, 500 East Walnut, died at the Bothwell hospital on Tuesday, June 14, 1955. Mr. Hatfield was born at Sedalia, April 28, 1902, son of the late Will Hatfield and Mrs. Maggie Dunton Hatfield. He lived all of his life in Sedalia. He was a member of the Sedalia Police Force for several years. For the past four years he has been employed at Mexico, Mo. He was married at Centralia, Mo., June 23, 1925 to Miss Goldie Stanton, who survives.
Also surviving are two daughters, Linda Sue Hatfield and Margie Hatfield of the home, two sons, Benny Hatfield of the home, Ray Hatfield, 603 South Engineer; his mother, Mrs. Maggie Hatfield, Centralia; three brothers, Porter Hatfield, Centralia, Kenneth Hatfield, Roxana, Ill. and Glenn Hatfield, Rush Hill, Mo. Funeral services were held at the Ewing Funeral Home on Thursday. The Rev. Boyd E. Eldridge, pastor of the East Sedalia Baptist Church, officiated. Burial was in Crown Hill Cemetery.
