Robert A. Grahl, age 71, passed away at St. Ann's Hospital, Saturday, August 16, 2003. A member and Elder of Christ the King Christian Church. He retired from Chemical Abstracts as a Computer Analyst. A 1948 graduate of Reynoldsburg High School. A 1953 graduate of Capital University. A veteran of the Korean War where he served with the US Army, 3rd Infantry Specialist. He entered the Evangelical Lutheran Theological Seminary in 1955 and was Ordained June 7, 1959 with a Masters of Divinity. From 1959 to 1964 he served as a Missionary for the ALC Lutheran Church in Ethiopia. He served as a pastor at Trinity Lutheran in Brookville, IN and at the First English Lutheran in Ashville. A 1970 graduate from the Ohio State University with a MSA. He is survived by his loving wife, Eleanor "Nora" Grahl, whom he married on January 25, 1958; daughter, Becky (Craig) Knechtel; son, David (April) Grahl; grandchildren, Matthew and Eric Knechtel and Josh and Alli Grahl; twin brother, Richard (Betty) Grahl; sister, Ellenore (Richard) Sutter. Preceded in death by his son Paul Timothy Grahl, parents Frederick and Lucille Grahl. Family will receive friends Tuesday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at SCHOEDINGER NORTH CHAPEL, 5554 Karl Road. Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, August 20, 2003 at Christ the King Christian Church 2150, E. Powell Road, Lewis Center, Ohio 43035. Interment Kingwood Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to Christ the King Christian Church Building Fund, 2150 E. Powell Rd, Lewis Center, Ohio 43035 in his memory.
