Death of Mrs. F. E. Darke.
"The illness of Mrs. Darke terminated fatally yesterday, contrary to the hopes which had been confidently entertained. It is an event which will be most deeply regretted by her large circle of friends, who knew her eminent qualities, and it is inexpressibly sad to the large family, who mourn the loss of a most devoted wife and mother. Notice of the funeral will be found in another column. We understand that comrades of the Fred Steele Post G. A. R., of which Mr. Darke is a prominent member, will assist in the last rites."
'DARKE-In this City, June 26th, 1891, Martha Agnes, beloved wife of F. E. Darke, a native of Norwich, Chenango County, N. Y., aged 43 years, 9 months and 15 days.
Funeral services will be held at the Presbyterian church, corner of Morro and Marsh streets, at 11 o'clock A.M., Sunday, June 28, 1891. Friends and acquaintances are invited to attend."
