She was born to Tade and Andrea (Brouwer) Andresen. She grew up in the Clara City area, where she attended school. She graduated in 1932 from Clara City High School.
She married Dick Wearda on Oct. 7, 1937. They farmed in rural Clara City. In 1946 they moved to Clara City. There they owned and operated Wearda Implement for the next 35 years, retiring in 1979. They spent their winters in Clearwater, Fla. She was a lifetime member of Bethany Reformed Church and active in Ladies Aid. She was preceded in death by her husband and one brother.
