Norman John Doehrmann was born January 14, 1936 near South Amana, Iowa, the son of Egon Otto and Leona Helen(Nagel)Doehrmann. He was baptized at Immanuel Lutheran Church on February 2, 1936 and confirmed at St. Paul Lutheran Church on April 1, 1951. Norman attended St. Paul Parochial School in Williamsburg. He has worked at the Amana Woolen Mill, Burg Cleaning Village and Ed's TV before retiring. Norman was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Williamsburg. He enjoyed playing cards and watching sports. Norman died Sunday, June 3, 2012 at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City at the age of 76 years.

He is survived by two brothers: Lloyd(Claudia)Doehrmann of Williamsburg and Bruce(Arlys)Doehrmann of South Amana and a number of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded by his parents and a sister: Katherine Jane Doehrmann.

Celebration of Life Service will be 10:30 am on Wednesday, June 6, 2012 at the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Williamsburg. Pastor Carl Cloeter will officiate. Burial will be in the St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4-7 pm at the Powell Funeral Home in Williamsburg. Memorials are for St. Paul Lutheran Church or Lutheran Interparish School.
