Based on DOB/DOD, George Thomas Lloyd was interred at the Sacramento Valley National Cemetery in Dixon. Here's the info from the VA gravesite locator:

Even though he passed away in 2012, it appears his interment is pretty recent as this section of cremains (Row I) still has many temporary markers. I've been waiting for some to be placed so I can take photos and they still haven't completed sites 10-20 yet.

I also found an obituary on line if you're interest in using any of it. http://www.legacy.com/obituaries/auburnjournal/obituary.aspx?n=George-Lloyd&pid=158047434

This is the obituary:

Captain George Thomas Lloyd USN (Ret) passed away at sunrise on May 29, 2012 in Weimar, Calif. at the age of 75.
While George left us far too early, he celebrated a full life. Born in Scranton, Pa. as an only child, he became an Eagle Scout at the ripe age of 16. George attended Lafayette College establishing himself both athletically, starting as an offensive lineman for three seasons, and academically receiving a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration. Later, through the Navy, he added a Master of Science Degree in Human Resource Management to his academic portfolio.
Upon graduating from Lafayette in 1958 he enlisted in the Navy as an Aviation Officer Candidate and reported to Pensacola, Fla. for flight training in January 1959. He received his golden wings in August, 1960. During his military career he saw stations from Kamiseya, Japan to Keflavik, Iceland serving his country via shipboard duty as Assistant Navigator and qualifying as Officer-of-the-Deck and Command Duty Officer while aboard USS Bon Homme Richard (CVA-31) and in the cockpit via P2 & P3 antisubmarine warfare planes with Patrol Squadron 17, 31, 48 and 50. His 32 year career in the Navy was marked by consistent achievement and rewarded with expanding command opportunities.
Upon retirement, he and his wife Carol moved to the 'hills' where he worked part time in real estate and enjoyed home improvement projects, trips to Reno and crossword puzzles. Most commonly referred to as simply, a 'GREAT man', you could not deny his honesty and integrity. George was a 'leader among equals', selfless and supportive friend, caring and protective husband, adoring and doting father and grandfather.
George is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Carol Ann Lloyd; his two children, Tracy Rosa and husband Bruce of South Lake Tahoe, Calif., George S. Lloyd and Suzanne of San Jose, Calif. and his three grandchildren, George, Casey and Madelyn in addition to a host of caring friends. To take license with one of his favorite quotes, "I've been around the world seven times, seen six county faires, four rodeos, and I have never seen the likes of…George T. Lloyd"…we'll miss him tremendously, but have benefited from him greatly.
A Celebration of Life will be held August 11, 2012 in South Lake Tahoe, Calif. In lieu of flowers, we would appreciate a donation to a charity of your choice . Please sign the guestbook at www.chapelofthehills-auburn.com .
