Martin Paul Libor, son of Louis and Maria Libor, was born October 18, 1892 in Marysville township. He died July 24th, 1950 at the Veterans hospital in Sheridan, Wyoming. He made his home in Waverly and Minneapolis except the past eight years which were spent with his sister in Chester, Mont.
Martin was a veteran of the first world war, having been in the Infantry in the Rainbow division. He also served in the Army of Occupation in Germany after the Armistice was signed.
His dad, mother, one brother and one sister
preceded him in death. Those left to mourn his passing are three sisters; Mrs. Louise Ray of Chester, Mrs. Caroline Bednorz and Mrs. M.
Jolicoeur of Minneapolis; and one brother, Joseph of Waverly; besides nephews, nieces and a host of his friends.
The American Legion Post of Waverly conducted the military services on Saturday, July 29. Rev. Fr. Keeler officiated at the burial mass. A wake was held at the Waverly Village hall Friday evening and burial was in the family lot in St. Mary's Cemetery. The pallbearers were ex-service men: Conrad Smith, John Rogers, Joe Hessel, Charles Ogle, James H. Hughes and Dan Graham. May he rest in peace.
