The Billings Gazette, December 7, 1974:

Katherine Harmon Balzer, 75, died at St. Vincent Hospital in Billings. She lived in Billings since 1947 and before that, she lived in Worden. She came to the United States in 1903. She was born the 21 November 1899 in Russia, a daughter of Jacob and Mary Elizabeth Harmon. She married Alex Balzer on the 26th of December 1918 in Worden. Her husband died 31 October 1965.

Mrs. Balzer was a member of Pilgram Congregational Church.

Survivors include a son, Walter Balzer, and three daughters, Mrs. Henry DeCleroq, Mrs. Ryanalt Kaufman, and Mrs. Dean Galles; four sisters, Mrs. Henry Ostermiller, Mrs. George Ostermiller, both of Billings, Mrs. George Gabel, Sacramento, CA, Mrs. Joe Walker, Butte; three brothers, Henry of Powell, George of Sacramento, and Bill of Portland; 11 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

Services will be at Pilgram Congregational Church. The Rev Fred Schneider will officiate and burial will be at Mountview Cemetery.
