Persson Rites in Vauxhall

Funeral services for Ragnar Persson, 54 of Vauxhall, were conducted recently from the Evangelical Free Church at Vauxhall, Rev. Robert H Johnson of St. Theodore's Anglican Church of Taber officiated at the service, assisted by Rev. Emil Axine of Vauxhall.
Interment was in the Vauxhall cemetery, funeral arrangements under the direction of Humpries Funeral Home of Taber. Pallbearers were Bert Wright, Gunner Hansen, Tage Birck, Gordon Johnson, Elmer Johnson and Russel Bell.
Mr. Persson was born at Lysvik Vermland, Sweden on Sept 27, 1908. He came to Canada at the age of 20, working in Saskatchewan for 3 yrs before moving to Vauxhall in 1930 to take up farming which he continued to the time of his death.
He married Gwen McGregor at Lethbridge on Jan 26, 1942, and surviving besides his wife are three children, Arlene, Lenard and Bernard all of Vauxhall: one sister and four brothers in Sweden and sister Mrs. George Reed of Gainsborough, Sask.
