25-Years after the end of the Vietnam War, 23-year old Army Warrant Officer Charles I. Stanley was one of 22-servicemen from the Cleveland, Ohio area still listed as Missing In Action. At the time all the Stanley family knew was that Charles had been in a helicopter crash. From DNA testing done in 1996 at the crash site, it looked as if Officer Stanley died when the chopper smashed into a hillside. Ten years later Stanley's mother, Martha had a gravestone put in the family plot. Stanley's father, Charles Stanley Sr., was killed in a tanker explosion.
