John E. Bujak, 77 a lifelong Shalersville resident died Thursday, June 9, 2005, at Robinson Memorial Hospital in Ravenna, Ohio. Born Nov. 22, 1927 in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Paul & Vera (Czervid) Bujak. He retired from Wells-Suwak Trucking where he worked as a terminal manager. John was a member of the St. Joseph's Church in Mantua, Mantua American Legion and the Ravenna Elks. He enjoyed camping, riding his motorcycle and was an avid snowmobiler enjoying many trips with his friends and was a veteran of the US Army. He was serving his fifth term as a Shalersville Township trustee. Survivors include his wife of 55 yrs. Mary Jane (Ross) Bujak, sons Dennis (Debbie) Bujak and Jeff (Judy) Bujak both of Shalersville. Daughter Becky (Thom) Stalcup of Longmont, CO. Seven grandchildren, one great granddaughter. Sister Mary Mortelette of Surprise, AZ. Preceded in death by one granddaughter, one sister and one brother. Calling hours 2-4 & 6-8 PM Sunday, June 12, 2005, with Elks services at 6PM at Shorts Funeral Homes, Inc. Ravenna, Ohio. Funeral Mass will be 11:00 AM Monday, June 13, 2005, at St. Joseph's Church in Mantua with Fr. Michael Balash officiating. Burial in Riverside Cemetery Shalersville, Ohio. In lieu of flowers family requests memorials to the Mantua/Shalersville Fire Department 40303 St. Rt. 44 Mantua, Ohio 44255 or the American Heart Association.
