Werner William Roosen, 77, died suddenly in Naples, FL, (Monday Jan. 27, l997). Born in Koblenz, Germany he had resided in Farmington for the past 48 years, prior to that he lived in West Hartford for 23 years. Werner retired from Pratt and Whitney Aircraft in East Hartford after many years of service. He was member of St. Patrick's Church in Farmington, a former Knight of Columbus member, an Eagle Scout and Boy Scout Master for troops in Farmington and West Hartford. He was a charter member of the Farmington Historical Society, a member of the Tunxis Senior Citizens, a graduate of Hall High in West Hartford, and a veteran of World War II. Surviving are his beloved wife, Henrietta Roosen with whom he would have celebrated their golden anniversary on May 25 of this year; his two daughters and son-in-laws, Roberta and Rex Marganti of Naples, FL., Heidi and Ron Martin of Farmington; his sons and daughter- in-law, William and Debra Roosen of Hampton, NJ, and Jeffrey Roosen of Milton, WA; seven grandchildren, Stacia and Dan Watson of Concord, CA., Jesse, Melissa, Stephen and Michael Roosen of Hampton, NJ, and Suzanne and Audrey Roosen of Avon; two great grandchildren, Treavor and Sonya Watson of Concord, CA.
