Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am Wednesday, June 20, at Church of St. Mary, Bismarck, with Rev. Gene Lindemann officiating.
Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Bismarck.
Visitation will be held from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm Tuesday, June 19, at Eastgate Funeral Service, Bismarck, where a vigil/rosary will be held at 7:00 pm. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at the church.
Eva was born January 17, 1920, near Napoleon, ND, the daughter of Michael and Magdalena (Feist) Ibach. She grew up on her parents' farm and attended a rural school at Kintyre, ND. On November 17, 1941, she married George Heisler. They farmed in Napoleon until 1963, when she moved to Bismarck. Eva was a seamstress and worked at Master Cleaners, Montgomery Ward, and JC Penny in the alterations department. She also did alterations in her home for many years.
She was a member of St. Mary's Altar Society.
Eva enjoyed sewing, quilting, crocheting, and gardening. She made quilts for each of her grandchildren for their weddings and many afghans for gifts.
Eva is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Pauline and Art Mueller, Bismarck, Janice and John Sackman, Lincoln, ND, and Linda and Dan Roberson, Bismarck; two sons and daughters-in-law, John and Judy Heisler, Newell, SD, and Jim and Kathy Heisler, McKenzie, ND; one brother, Leo Ibach, Napoleon; 16 grandchildren, Dean (Anne) Mueller, Michelle (Bret) Brennise, Susan (Greg) Robinson, Sherry (Terry) Jones, Colleen Carmen, John Heisler, Kelly Heisler, Dawn (Tony) Harper, Steve Heisler, Carrie Rath, John III (Margaret) Sackman, Justin (Nikki) Sackman, Joshua Sackman, Lisa (Josh) Johnson, and Kelly Volk; four step-grandchildren, Tammy Bullinger, Kim (Jim) Koenig, Brianne (Joe) Hoffman, Sommer (Brian) Noethlich; 27 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Eva was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; three sisters, Rose Fettig, Katie Splonskowski, and Theresa Ibach; one brother, Joe Ibach; two sisters-in-law, Anna Marie Ibach and Christine Ibach; two brothers-in-law, Joe Fettig and Leo Splonskowski; one son-in-law, Michael Volk; and twin great-grandsons, Nicholas and Edward Brennise.
