John Albert Kieninger, 72, Marietta, died Tuesday at Johnson Memorial Hospital, Franklin. Born on May 5, 1925, in Indianapolis, he was the son of Julius and Florence(Arnold)Kieninger. On Sept. 8, 1946, he married Alma Mae(Crouch)Kieninger, and she survives. Mr. Kieninger had been a carperter for the Indianapolis Public School system. He had served with the U.S Navy during World War II. Survivors include his wife, of Marietta; three daughters, Joy Kieneiger, Marietta, Bonnie Kieninger and Mrs. Sammy(Connie)Stephen, both of Rochester; four sons, Robert Kieninger, Marietta, John Kieninger Jr., Rochester, Larry Kieninger, Indianapolis, and Daniel Kieninger, Macy; 14 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters. Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service with the Rev. James Coulston officiating. Burial will be in Miller Cemetery, Shelby County. Military rites will be conducted by local veterans organizations.
