Anthony Carl "Tony" Kirschner of Hixton, WI., died Sunday Feb. 9, 1997 at his residence. Tony was born August 16, 1919 in La Crosse, to Joseph and Mary (Weber) Kirschner. Tony was the youngest of eleven children. Tony married Marian E. Knobloch August 10, 1943 at St. Joseph the Workmen Cathedral in La Crosse, WI. Marian preceded him in death Nov.13, 1996. Together they farmed his parents farm on Saint Joseph Ridge. Tony worked also at UOP Norplex and many years at Allis Chalmers in La Crosse.

In October 1962 they moved to Hixton and purchased Club 95. They built a small one room bar and dining room into a larger night club for catering weddings and other events. Eventually they built added Motel 95. They retired in 1988.

Tony leaves behind four sons, Carl, James (Barb) Stephen (Beverly) and Donald (Colleen) Kirschner and one daughter Jayne (Larry) Olson. Tony had 11 grandchildren, Douglas Kirschner, Michael Kirschner, Anthony Kirschner, Melissa (Robert) Scarseth, Kelly Kirschner, Brandon Kirschner, Jamie Kirschner, Eric, Sarah, Katrina and Nate Olson. Three step grandchildren Anthony Spadacini, Anthony and Mark Schaeffer.

Tony was preceded in death by his parents, and siblings, Joseph, Mary, Catherine, Therese, Agnes, Rose, Francis, John, Margaret, and Frank.
