Reuben G. Foster, a former Chelsea resident, died early Wednesday Oct. 19, 1960 at Veteran's Hospital in Ann Arbor. He had lived in Ann Arbor the past 50 years and had operated a restaurant on S. Main St. and later on Packard St, Ann Arbor.
He was a veteran of World War I and a member of the Ann Arbor American Legion.
A son of John and Julia Hindelang Foster, he was born in Chelsea March 14, 1890.
Surviving in addition to his widow, Irene, are four sisters; Mrs. Cora Beissel of Chelsea, Mrs. Josephine Reiter, Mrs. Edith Stevens and Miss Lena Foster all of Salt Lake City; two brothers, Arthur Foster of Jonesville and Bert Foster of Ann Arbor.
Services were held at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church with burial at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Chelsea.
