Columbus – Gerald Fox, 76, died Thursday, April 5, 2012 at Aurora Health and Rehab. He was born in Tupelo on March 22, 1936 to James Carter and Johnny Evelyn Fox. He was a Veteran of the United States Air Force. He was a longtime employee of Babcock and Wilcox. He enjoyed genealogy and spending time with his family and his dog, Trouble.

Graveside services will be 11 AM Tuesday at the Mississippi State Veterans Cemetery in Newton with Bro. Jim Sallee officiating. Lee Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Survivors include two daughters, Linda Gay Fox of Louisville and Conna W. Montgomery (Mac) of Pontotoc; one son, Cory Barnes of Santa Clara, CA; four grandchildren, M. J. Montgomery and Susanne Montgomery both of Pontotoc, Celeste Barnes of Santa Clara, CA and Hayley Adamec (Will) of Dover, TN; six great-grandchildren, Chase, Coledon and Amber Montgomery, Christian Self, Mckinley Adamec and Mace Sherwood.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Helen Taylor Fox; three sons, Gerald Lynn (Jerry) Fox, Scott Barnes and Timothy Barnes; eight brothers and sisters.
