SENECA - Clara A. Niehues, 68, Seneca, died Feb. 21, 1993, at a hospital here. Services will be at 10:15 a.m. Thursday at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Corning, Kan.; burial in the church cemetery. The rosary will be said at 7 p.m. today and at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Lauer Chapel, Seneca. The family suggests contributions to the cemetery association.
Mrs. Niehues was born in Baileyville, Kan., and lived near Kelly, Kan., and Corning before moving to Seneca in 1987. She was a member of Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Seneca and its St. Ann's Altar Society. She was a former member of St. Patrick's church.
Her husband, Allie "Pete" Niehues, died in 1979.
Survivors include five sons, Lawrence Niehues, Chadron, Neb., Glenn Niehues, Sabetha, Kan., Mark Niehues, Alliance, Neb., Dennis Niehues, Maple Hill, Kan., and Galen Niehues, Seneca; a daughter, Jo Ann Hull, Salina, Kan.; two brothers, Melvin Koelzer, Corning, and Sylvester Koelzer, Humboldt, Neb.; four sisters, Rheata Eisenbarth, Lee's Summit, Loreene Olberding, Baileyville, Ann Broxterman, Silver Lake, Kan., and Mary Haverkamp, Seneca; 13 grandchildren; and a great-grandson.
