ST. ALBANS - Alfred Joseph Lamotte Jr., 75, of St. Albans, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, July 5, 2012, following surgery in Fletcher Allen Health Care in Burlington.

Alfred was born Feb. 26, 1937, in Burlington, the son of the late Alfred Joseph and Florence Dumas Lamotte.

He worked for many years with Mayflower Movers.

Alfred is survived by his children, Alfred Lamotte of Kentucky, Tammy Langlois of St. Albans, Brenda Dube of Morrisville, Mark Lamotte of Newport, Mike Lamotte and wife, Vonnie Marie, of Highgate, Lori Rushlow of Kentucky, Michele Catella of Burlington, and Irene Bean and husband, Gary, of North Carolina; 18 grandchildren; six greatgrandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his first wife, Iona Rushford Lamotte; and his brother, Henry Lamotte.

Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, July 10, 2012, from 4 to 7 p.m. in the Minor Funeral Home, Route 7 in Milton. Vigil prayers will be offered by Fr. John Feltz at 6 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 12, 2012, at 11 a.m. in the funeral home.

Burial with full military honors will follow in the Milton Village Cemetery. Online condolences may be made at www.minorfh.com.
