Llewellyn Howard was born Sept. 24, 1917, in Belle Plaine. She married Hermann Luerssen in 1946 in Davenport. He died in 1979. Survivors include a daughter, Rebecca; sons, Dennis and Michael H. Luerssen, Wilton; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and sister, DoLoris Howard, Davenport.
