MRS. JULIA THEUS
Mrs. Julia Theus, 69, 410 W. Crestwood, died at 8:20 p.m. Wednesday in a local hospital after an illness of only a few hours.
She is survived by her husband, Luther Theus; four sons, Hoyt Theus of McCamey and L. C., Oran and Stanley Theus, all of Vicroria; and two daughters, Mrs. Verna T. Davis of Victoria and Mrs. Velma Husak of Bermuda.
Funeral arrangements will be announced by Duckett-Conner Mortuary.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the First Baptist Church for Mrs. Julia Sarah Newman Theus, 69, who died unexpectedly Wednesday night at a local hospital.
The Rev. W. E. Howard will officiate. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery under the direction of Duckett-Conner Mortuary. The body will lie in state at the church from 12:30 p.m. until time for services.
Pallbearers will be Carroll Boyd, I. F. Smothers, Virgil Sparks, Lisle Wayne, E. E. Davis and Marvin Davis.
Born in Beeville Sept. 6, 1890, Mrs. Theus was a resident of Port Lavaca for 43 years before moving 14 years ago to Victoria where she made her home at 410 W. Crestwood Ave.
She was a member of First Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Luther C. Theus Sr.; four sons, Hoyt of McCamey, L. C. Jr., Oran and Stanley Theus of Victoria; two daughters, Mrs. Verna Davis of Victoria and Mrs. Velma Husak of Bermuda; a brother, Asa Newman of Houston; three sisters, Mrs. Alda Hord of Louisiana, Mrs. Betty Sims of Clute and Mrs. Hetty Wolfe of Refugio; 16 grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Her parents were the late Henry C. and Orenda Davis Newman.
